Description
Combine the best of burgers and tacos in this fusion recipe. Juicy smash-style beef patties, melty cheese, and tangy burger sauce in warm tortillas offer bold flavors and a satisfying crunch. An easy, quick meal for all occasions.
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
8 small flour tortillas (6″ diameter)
6 oz (170g) American cheese singles
4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1/2 cup chopped dilled pickles
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup burger sauce (mayo-based with mustard and paprika)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Trim tortilla edges with kitchen scissors and set aside.
Heat a 12″ skillet over medium-high until a water droplet sizzles.
Divide beef into 8 donut-shaped patties (2-3″ center hole) for even cooking.
Place a pre-wrapped cheese slice on each patty to prevent melting while flipping.
Cook 3 patties at a time in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden-brown and cheese has melted.
Warm the tortillas in the skillet for a few seconds per side without oil.
Add lettuce, pickle, onion, and burger sauce inside each tortilla after placing the beef patty.
Serve immediately and enjoy the crispy, smoky, and tangy fusion flavors.
Notes
Use a non-stick skillet for easier cleanup.
Add extra paprika for deeper meaty flavor.
For a healthier option, use zucchini slices instead of onion.
