Ingredients
1 lb Turkey Cutlets
3 tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
2 tbsp Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 small Yellow Onion, diced
1/2 cup Low-sodium Chicken Broth
1 tsp Fresh Thyme
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
Place turkey cutlets between plastic wrap and pound to 1/4 inch thickness.
Season both sides of the cutlets generously with salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and chicken broth.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear turkey cutlets in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove turkey from the skillet and set aside.
Add diced onions and garlic to the same skillet, sautéing until soft.
Pour in the maple-mustard mixture and fresh thyme, simmering until the sauce reduces to a silky consistency.
Return the turkey to the pan to coat in the glaze and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure you use pure maple syrup rather than imitation pancake syrup for the best flavor. If fresh thyme is unavailable, 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme may be used. Stone-ground mustard can be used as a textured substitute for Dijon.
