Ingredients
1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend)
16 Hawaiian rolls (sweet, buttery)
1 cup sliced cheddar cheese (sharp)
1 cup diced pineapple (fresh or no-syrup canned)
1/4 cup halal-certified teriyaki sauce
1 medium red onion (thinly sliced)
1 head lettuce (shredded)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp butter (for topping rolls)
Instructions
Preheat skillet or grill to 450°F (230°C)
Season ground beef with salt and pepper; form into 16 equal balls
Toast Hawaiian rolls in oven at 350°F (180°C) for 5 minutes with 1 tsp butter each
Seal beef patties in skillet for 2 minutes per side until charred
Place cheese slices on cooked patties and let melt for 1 minute
Assemble sliders: spread 1 tsp teriyaki sauce on roll bottoms, layer lettuce, onion, pineapple, and patties
Top with roll lids and gently press to serve
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to check patties reach 161°F for food safety
Rest patties 2-3 minutes post-cooking to retain juices
