Ingredients
Ground beef (1 lb, 80/20 blend)
Hamburger buns (4)
Cheddar cheese slices (4)
Lettuce (4 large leaves)
Tomato (1 medium, sliced)
Red onion (1/4 cup thinly sliced)
Bottled pickles (4 slices)
Ketchup (3 tbsp)
Mustard (1 tbsp)
Mayonnaise (2 tbsp)
Kosher salt (To taste)
Black pepper (Freshly ground)
Instructions
Season ground beef with salt and pepper (about ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper total)
Form into 4 evenly thick (¾-inch) patties
Preheat grill or pan to high heat (450°F+)
Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side, placing cheese slices on during last 2 minutes of cooking
Toast buns on grill while patties cook
Assemble burgers with toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, condiments)
