Description
Bite-sized, flavorful burgers with crisp buns, juicy beef patties, melted cheese, and tangy toppings. Perfect for parties or casual meals, these sliders balance richness and portability for maximum taste.
Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
12 slider buns (brioche or sesame for crunch)
6 slices American cheese (or provolone for sharper flavor)
1 medium onion (finely chopped, raw or grilled)
1/2 cup cherry pickles (crisp version preferred)
1/4 cup ketchup (add 1 tsp sugar for balance)
1 tbsp mustard (Dijon or yellow for tang)
2 tbsp butter (for buns and topping)
Instructions
Slice onion, drain pickles, and raise stove to medium-high.
Portion beef into 1/4-pound patties (6 total) and season with salt/pepper.
Prep sauce by mixing ketchup and mustard.
Heat cast-iron skillet until smoking, add patties, and cook 3–4 mins per side. Top with cheese 1 min before removing.
Brush buns with melted butter and grill 30–60 sec per side in oven.
Spread sauce on the base of each bun, layer patty, cheese, onion, and 2–3 pickles. Close sliders gently.
Notes
Use uniform patty sizes for consistent doneness.
Avoid sogginess by toasting buns before assembly.
Cast-iron skillet ensures a perfect sear.
Provolone cheese offers a sharper flavor than American.
Ketchup-sweetened tang brightens rich flavors.
Store leftover patties separately and reheat gently.
