Ingredients
4 bone-in chicken thighs (1-inch thick)
2/3 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire substitute (e.g., tamari or soy sauce blend)
Instructions
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels
Mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl
Season both sides of chicken, pressing spices into the meat
Drizzle with olive oil and let rest 10 minutes
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat; add oil
Sear chicken 4-5 minutes per side until golden
Brush with 1/3 cup BBQ sauce and cook 2-3 minutes longer
Brush remaining sauce on both sides
