Ingredients
24 jalapeños (fresh or canned)
8 oz full-fat cream cheese
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
18 thin turkey bacon slices (halal substitute optional)
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Rinse jalapeños and pat dry. Slice lengthwise without tearing.
Remove seeds and membranes by hand or with a spoon (wear gloves for protection).
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Place 1–2 teaspoons of cheese mixture in each cleaned jalapeño half.
Wrap each jalapeño with one bacon slice, securing with toothpicks.
Arrange on prepared baking sheets and bake for 20 minutes.
Switch to broil for 5 minutes until bacon is crispy and golden.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Soak bacon in water for 5 minutes to prevent burning.
Use halal bacon or vegan alternative for dietary needs.
Switch cheddar with pepper jack for extra spice.
Sprinkle smoked paprika in the cheese mixture for deeper flavor.
